How to use Chats

Chats is your SMS inbox for conversations started by automated texts—or continued after someone replies.

  1. Open Chats

    After signing in, open Chats from the navigation menu. You need at least one approved automated text number before conversations appear.

  2. Pick a conversation

    The left panel lists recent chats. Select one to load the message history on the right. Unread messages surface at the top of the list.

  3. Send a reply

    Type in the message box at the bottom and press Send. Your reply goes out from the same Twilio number that received the inbound message.

  4. Block or report if needed

    Use the menu on a conversation to:

    • Block a contact — removes them from your list and hides future inbound messages from them.
    • Report a conversation — flag harassment, spam, or other issues for review.
